Maddie celebrated her golden birthday on the 7th of January. She had a birthday party at a salon with all her school friends and her cousins. They did karaoke, got their nails done, got to make their own lip gloss or lotion, danced, and had a fashion show. The girls definitely had a blast, but it was a reminder of why we rarely do kid birthdays anywhere : ) Chaos, drama, and cost. I'd say it was totally worth it, but the lady running the salon was a bit on the looney side, and said several inappropriate things and was rather obnoxious. I think most of what was said went over their heads, but still...I do wish I would've just hosted a little salon party at our house! |
